Outside the terminal are four animal relief areas. Two are located pre-security — one east of the terminal near ticketing, and one at the west end of the terminal near the taxis. Each area is conveniently equipped with a fire hydrant and waste disposal bags.
SRQ also has two post-security pet relief areas. One is located in Concourse A, across from Gates 6 & 7. The other is located on the main concourse near Gate B2.
The new amenity was built by Airport Facilities, with the help of Dogs Inc., to accommodate passengers traveling with service animals and pets.
The area is outfitted with a small Astroturf grass patch, a sink, and clean-up supplies. A hose is connected to a wall faucet for owners to clean the used area. This area can be used by all pets.
