SRQ Celebrates Five Years of Southwest’s Legendary Service and Hospitality

Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) is excited to celebrate five years of service by Southwest Airlines, which began operating at the airport on February 14, 2021. During the month of February, the airport will recognize this milestone with a celebration for employees and passengers.

This month, Southwest will also surpass an impressive five million passengers carried to and from SRQ, a testament to the community embracing Southwest’s value proposition.

“It’s extremely fitting that Southwest – the airline known for its ‘LUV’ – marked this anniversary on Valentine’s Day,” said Paul Hoback, Jr., President, Chief Executive Officer of Sarasota Bradenton International Airport. “I’m proud of our continued partnership with Southwest. Offering nonstop service to sixteen destinations, Southwest provides invaluable connectivity to our region.”
