Evan Knighting joined the Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority in 2013, bringing extensive experience including strategic planning and leadership in the field of Information Technology. Evan held multiple positions throughout his career including Enterprise Resource Planning Manager, Information Technology Manager and Director of Information Technology prior to his current position as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer. He began his career working as an intern for a large manufacturing company and spent over 15 years in information technology systems leadership for primarily manufacturing and healthcare organizations prior to joining the authority.

Evan graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in management and attained a Master of Business Administration in Information Technology from Shenandoah University. Evan holds multiple Information Technology and Security certifications including Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Evan is a member of the Airports Council International-North America and the Florida Airports Council

Evan and his wife, Lisa, have three children.
