Lost and Found

The Sarasota Manatee Airport Police Department is responsible for the application and administration of the Lost and Found program at the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport and it is managed in accordance with Florida Statutes.
Items found in public areas of the airport are held for 30 days. They are available for release during normal business hours. To claim a lost item, the Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority Police requires proof that you are the legitimate owner. 
 

Airport Terminal

If you lost an item in the airport terminal, concourses, or parking lots, you will need to create a claim by emailing: [email protected].  Please provide the following information:

Your name
Your contact information (telephone number and email)
Description of the item you lost
Where the item was believed lost

Please allow at least 2 business days for a response.
If you are still in the airport, you may inquire about your lost item by using a courtesy phone and requesting assistance.

FIREARMS

Firearms are not permitted to be carried through the Security Checkpoint and onto an aircraft.  To do so is a violation of Florida State Statute. To do so can result in a criminal charge and TSA fine.

Firearms seized at the Security Checkpoint are returned only after the State Attorney’s Office provides a Release of Evidence notification.  Firearms are returned by appointment only by calling 941-359-2770 ext. 4256

Security Checkpoint:

For items lost while proceeding through the TSA Security Checkpoint, you must contact the TSA subcontractor Aviation Management Services at (a-s-mgmt.com/srq-lost-and-found).

We sincerely hope you take good care of your personal possessions, but we also understand that things happen. When traveling, take a few extra moments to check your surroundings and make sure you have everything before you leave.  Keep an eye on your child’s belongings and have a great trip!
