Look Before You Leave

The airport sincerely hopes our guests take good care of their personal possessions, but we also understand people occasionally forget things when rushed or in unfamiliar surroundings. When traveling, take a few extra moments to check your surroundings before moving from one airport area to another.

Some tips that might save you from losing an item:

  • When you leave your hotel or condo, always do a complete sweep of every room, including looking in each drawer and every closet before closing the door behind you when you leave. Check outlets for chargers.
  • When returning a rental car, check each compartment and the trunk for personal items such as cell phones, chargers, or glasses.
  • Always check to make sure you have all your possessions before leaving the security screening area.
  • Before deplaning an aircraft, check the overhead compartment and under the seat in front of you for items that might have fallen out of your carry-on luggage. Look in the seat back if you used it to store an item during your flight.
  • Keep an eye on your children's belongings
