The Sarasota Bradenton International Airport and the United States Customs Service have been working together since November 1992. This cooperative effort has resulted in a direct link to international trade and tourism for the Sarasota Manatee area. A full-time Customs Inspector is available at the airport to perform a wide range of inspection duties. The link at the bottom of this page will take you to the official U.S. Customs Service website, where you will find information on a variety of subjects including but not limited to the following: Importing and Exporting, Traveler Information, Careers and Contracts, Customs' Most Wanted, Current News, Customs Forms, and Information about the United States Customs Service, America's frontline for over 200 years. The U.S. Customs Service office at the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport and consists of a Federal Inspection Station (FIS) for arriving commercial flights, air cargo office for inbound international freight, and a General Aviation Facility (GAF) at gate B8 for private aircraft wishing to arrive from foreign locations direct to SRQ. Prior permission is required from U.S. Customs for private aircraft to use this facility. Currently under development is a Port Specific website attached to the national website where you can find local information to assist you with your international questions.

The Sarasota Bradenton International Airport is a (USER FEE) Port of Entry. A full-time Customs and Border Protection Officer is available at the airport to perform a wide range of inspection duties.  For customs fees click here.

Locally you can find Customs Bonded Warehouses Foreign Trade Zone’s, Bonded Trucking companies, as well as Air Carriers. Private and Air Charter aircraft both arriving and departing the United States, not only with passengers but international cargo. Located at the airport is a Federal Inspection Station for clearing arriving International Passengers and International Cargo.
