SRQ Continues to Experience Substantial Growth

 
For the month of May, passenger traffic at the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) totaled 288,551.  Compared to May 2020, passenger traffic was 622% higher than the COVID-19 impacted level of 39,988 passengers.  Compared to May of 2019, passenger traffic was 79% higher than the pre-COVID-19 level of 161,435.
 
“We continue to see record-breaking growth at the airport with our airlines adding new destinations and increased service every month.  With the recent announcement from Southwest Airlines that they will be adding 3 new nonstop destinations, passengers can now choose from 10 airlines providing service to 48 nonstop destinations,” stated Rick Piccolo, President, CEO of the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport.
