Passenger traffic for the first 6 months of 2019 totaled 988,105 passengers. SRQ has seen 16 straight months of passenger growth and has expanded service to 8 airlines serving 29 destinations. The rapid growth at SRQ has made it the 2nd fastest growing airport in the U.S.

Over the past 16 months, SRQ has added 2 new air carriers, Allegiant Air and Frontier Airlines, 23 new routes and 18 new destinations including Ashville (AVL), Baltimore (BWI), Cincinnati (CVG), Cleveland (CLE), Columbus (LCK), Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW), Denver (DEN), Grand Rapids (GRR), Harrisburg (MDT), Indianapolis (IND), Melbourne (MLB), Nashville (BNA), Philadelphia (PHL), Pittsburgh (PIT), Richmond (RIC), Syracuse (SYR), Traverse City (TVC) and Washington, D.C. (IAD). There are now 8 airlines providing nonstop service to 29 destinations at SRQ.
